Over 3 weeks in, 1 in Los Angeles, and 2 in Alaska, and we still have all 40 dogs. Working on an exit strategy. Called a bunch of organizations today, some helpful, some not. The stress and lack of sleep is getting to everyone. Most difficult shoot I've ever been on. Lack of comfort, all these dogs, 20 hour days of intermittent rain and having no luck finding them homes all while filming when possible is simply stressful.
I'm ready for a tropical vacation.
You guys can do it! It's awesome that your all taking care of so many dogs. I don't know if you've tried but I'm up in Fairbanks and I know there are a few organizations up here. You might want to try giving some of them a call. Also contact maybe some of the local news papers if you haven't to get word out for help. Fairbanks Daily news and Anchorage Daily news.
